Arrival- and holiday informations
General reference for your journey:
The Maierl-Alm is located on 1225 meters above sea level right in the skiing area of Kitzbuehel and can be reached by car all year round. The street up to the Maierl-Alm, the „Krinbergweg“ and the „Krinberg“ is a asphalted mountain-road.
Alternatively you can leave your car at the parking area in the valley right at the turn to the cable car or in the underground parking in the village (address: Poellmuehle 2, Kirchberg in Tirol). The fee is about € 22,00 per week. Depending on availability, we could possibly organize a free shuttle and pick you up from there. Please contact our reception at 0043 5357 2109-0 in advance.
In history you could always use the part of the motorway from the border to Kufstein Sued without to buy a vignette. Since december 2013 you have to buy a vignette also for this part of the motorway! They use video surveillance for monitoring. If you do not have a valid vignette there is a penalty of € 120,00.
Travelling with navigation system:
Please be aware that there ist he street „Krinbergweg“ (lower part of our road) as well as the street „Krinberg“ (upper part of the road). The correct address of the Maierl-Alm is: "Krinberg 14, A-6365 Kirchberg in Tirol".
Directions from Munich:
Take the A8 direction Salzburg. At the “Inntal-Dreieck“ (after the Irschenberg) please continue on A93 (A12). Leave the motorway at Woergl Ost.
After leaving the motorway at Woergl Ost you continue on road B170 direction Brixental / Felbertauern. Follow the sign to Kirchberg (don´t take the direction to Kitzbuehel). Via Hopfgarten, Westendorf and Brixen you will get to Kirchberg (about 20km).
At the roundabout in Kirchberg please take the second exit direction Aschau. After about 1km there is a sign directing to the “Maierl-Gondel” (Maierl cable car). Please do not follow this sign! Stay on the main road instead! Precisely 1km after passing the sign that you are leaving Kirchberg you turn left, following the sign „P1“. After 200 meters you reach the station of the cable car Pengelstein. Left hand of the station the mountain road starts. From this point on it is just 3,8km to the Maierl-Alm & Chalets. Just follow the signs “Maierl”. You can park your car outside or in our garage (hight 2,05 meters).
Your room / chalet on the day off arrival:
Your room, chalet or apartment is ready latest at 4 p.m. on the day of arrival. Of course you can already check in in the morning and leave your car with us in order to enjoy the day on our terrace or in ourwellness area (pool, sauna and steambath). To enter the wellness area we will issue key cards for you at the reception.
